The apartments themselves are built to Lifetime Homes requirements, which means they are easily adaptable if required. For instance all the doorways are slightly wider allowing for wheelchair access, the en-suites are ideally suited with level access showers and walls designed to support handrails/seats if required.
The apartments are also fitted with smoke detectors and fire alarms which are linked to a community alarm unit. Personal trigger alarms are included in the apartments, which offer an array of security/alarms that can be added and are all linked to a 24 hour monitoring facility.
Should in future the need for additional care be required then there are two 60 bed Care Homes located a short distance away but still within the estate. These homes are also run by Augustinian Care and will attempt to give residents of the village priority should they require a bed. The homes are able to offer both full time and respite beds, so if you have been in hospital and require a couple of extra weeks recuperation then this can be arranged.
All these options offer a complete flexible bespoke package of care for both now and the future so giving you total piece of mind.
